Why
Self-published authors either pay for design software and learn typesetting, or accept a plain-looking book. Writing the book was the hard part; making it look like a book shouldn’t be.
What it does
An author uploads a Word manuscript. AuraBook reads it, suggests a design that suits its genre, places illustrations at the right points in the story and lets the author polish paragraphs with AI suggestions. Then it produces files ready for print and for e-readers.
How it is built
- A full-stack web app with a rich-text editor for reviewing the book page by page.
- Language models for layout proposals and edits; an image model for the illustrations.
- A headless browser renders the print PDF exactly as designed, and a separate compiler packages the EPUB.
